A community group that has restored and protected Famosa Slough — a 37-acre remnant wetland of the Mission Bay Estuary — for over 40 years. Hosts Second Saturday work parties year-round at 4285 W Point Loma Blvd in Ocean Beach, removing invasive plants, maintaining trails, and planting native species. A rare and accessible urban wetland restoration opportunity in a densely populated part of the city. Partners frequently with San Diego Bird Alliance on joint restoration and birding events.
