About
A 501(c)(3) nonprofit that maintains and operates historic Mount Helix Park in La Mesa entirely through donations and volunteers — no government funding. The 1,400-foot hilltop nature preserve features a 35-foot memorial cross, a historic outdoor amphitheater, hiking trails, and panoramic 360-degree views of San Diego. Hosts First Saturday Habitat Work Days year-round, 9am–12pm, focused on native plant maintenance and invasive species removal. The park also has an Adopt-a-Plot program where community members can care for their own plot of native habitat.
