About

Founded in 1961, the SDCSS is one of the largest cactus and succulent societies in the country. Monthly meetings are free and open to the public, held the second Saturday of each month at Casa del Prado in Balboa Park. Each meeting features a guest speaker, Plant of the Month, a free plant exchange table, and member plant sales. The Society hosts two annual shows and sales — one in February and one in June — and volunteers maintain the Baja California Garden and Old World Succulent Garden at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park.
